Nox Thinking 1.1 (Retired)

Retired — Nox's first dedicated reasoning model

Nox Thinking 1.1 was the Nox 1.1 generation's dedicated reasoning model. It ran a deliberate reasoning pass before answering, trading speed for more structured, multi-step responses. It was retired in July 2026 and is no longer available.

Thinking 1.1 introduced a distinct reasoning option alongside the fast Light 1.1 model. Rather than answering immediately, it spent part of its output budget on an internal reasoning pass before producing the visible response.

The model was text-only. It did not accept photo input and did not support Nox's live web tools, so image questions were routed to a vision-capable model and current-information research required a different path.

Thinking 1.1 also had a smaller practical output budget than the current family because its hidden reasoning work and visible answer shared the same token allowance. Nox reserved extra room for that reasoning pass so visible answers would not end prematurely.

Nox Thinking 1.1 was retired in July 2026. It is preserved here as part of the model-family history, but it cannot be selected or used. The Nox 1.3 generation replaced it with newer reasoning behavior, larger context windows, photo understanding, and consent-gated live web access.
