The model that powers Pebs, Nox's agent (Preview)

Nox GHI 1 is in Preview. It is the model system that powers Pebs, Nox's agent. GHI 1 and Pebs are one thing: GHI 1 is the engine, Pebs is what you talk to. Given a goal, it writes a step plan, executes each step with tools — live web, an isolated cloud browser, files, Nox Memories — and returns a user-facing result per step. Routine browser steps run on a lightweight engine and escalate automatically to a stronger one when a step stops making progress; the thinking level you choose sets the engine for the harder steps.

GHI 1 runs a plan → execute → report loop. A planner turns the goal into short, concrete steps; an executor works through them one at a time and may only end a step with an explicit finish, so every step carries its own deliverable (the list, summary or confirmation itself, with source links) rather than a description of having done it.

Thinking levels map to engines. Routine steps (navigation, reading, form filling) start on Nox Vela 2.1. When a step shows instability — the same page read three times, ten or more actions, or a retry — the rest of that step moves to Nox Orion Flash 2.1. Non-routine steps run on the engine for the chosen level: Orion Flash 2.1 (Low), Orion 2.1 at medium or deep reasoning (High / Extra high), or a frontier reasoning engine at Max. Screenshot understanding always uses Orion Flash 2.1.

The cloud browser is an isolated Chromium session per task with its own network policy. Page text is read content-first (site navigation and menus stripped, long pages readable from a named section) and every element comes back with a stable selector. A live view streams frames to the task page; you can take over at any time, click and type yourself, and hand the browser back — Pebs continues from the page you left open, in the same session.

Credentials never pass through the model or the chat. Sign-ins, verification codes and card details are entered through secure cards straight into the retained browser; frames are withheld while secure fields are typed, the values are scrubbed from everything the model reads, and nothing from those fields is logged or persisted. Entering a card never places the order: sends, purchases, sensitive submissions, external changes and unclear actions pause for an exact, server-bound confirmation before they run.

Around a task, Pebs can run it on a schedule you set (missed runs collapse into one), email you when a task finishes or needs your approval or an answer, apply standing preferences you save (which never authorize a purchase or a send), write text, Markdown, CSV and JSON files you can download, and publish a read-only share link that shows only the task's messages and step titles.

Each step has an action budget. A step that keeps looping is first told to finish with what it has, then stopped honestly instead of burning credits. Tasks resume after sleeps, approvals and your own browser sessions, and every model call is metered against your plan.
