Nox 1.3: the model family built for everyday health
Product
Meet Nox 1.3 Astra, Nova, and Vela: a model family spanning deep reasoning, balanced work, and fast everyday health conversations.
One family, different kinds of work
Nox 1.3 brings three models into one family. Astra is the flagship for Nox's deepest reasoning. Nova balances deliberate reasoning with conversational speed, and is temporarily unavailable. Vela is the fast everyday model available on every plan, including Free.
The family gives people a clearer choice between depth and speed without changing how they use Nox. Long conversations remain in context, photo attachments are handled automatically, and supported models can create inline charts, work with connected apps, and search the live web after asking for permission.
Safety stays consistent
Every model runs behind Leo, Nox's medical-safety layer. Leo screens each message for acute warning signs before the selected model answers, so choosing a faster or deeper model does not remove the safety gate.
Nox remains an educational health companion, not a diagnosis or a replacement for a clinician. The purpose of the 1.3 family is to make the tradeoff between quick everyday help and more deliberate work explicit while preserving that boundary.
Where each model fits
Vela is the active everyday model and the successor to Light 1.1. Astra is available on MAX for Nox's deepest work. Nova sits between them in the family but is temporarily unavailable, with existing conversations continuing on Vela.
